The Location...
The lake is located just outside Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. If you are traveling north turn off the M 42 at Junction 12 for Ashby/Measham onto the B5006 heading towards Ashby de la Zouch. Go approximately 2 miles then after Willesley Golf Club on the left hand side, turn left almost back on yourself. Another mile and the lake will be seen on your left. Take the next left at the crossroads and the vehicular access to the car park and Willesley Lake is some 300 yards further on the left hand side.

The Lake...
It is a beautiful mature estate lake of approximately twenty four acres. The depth ranges from very shallow to about twenty feet at the deepest point - but for the most part averages five to six feet. There are trees and bushes around the perimeter and also an island which forms a bird sanctuary and acts as a focal point of the property.

The Fish...
The lake has many hundreds of carp with a mixture of both mirror and common carp. There is a good stock of twenty to thirty pounders and recently a couple of carp exceeding thirty pounds have been landed. The lake also has a large stock of Coarse fish including bream, roach, cruscian carp, tench, perch and gudgeon.
The Management...
The lake is well managed by Ms Christine Hart who walks the lake three times a day and she can be contacted on 01283 762192.
The permits...
Just turn up and start fishing…all tickets can be purchased on the bank subject to availability.

The Rules...
- Cars should be parked in the main parking area only.
- No litter, No fires.
- Noise to be kept to a minimum.
- Pegs must be vacated for matches when required.
- No bait boats.
- Juveniles to be accompanied by an adult.
The Facilities...
A secure parking area is offered for the one-off price of a gate key which is currently £5.00 for a season (only available to holders of a season ticket).
Cars can be temporarily parked at three points around the lake, depending on which area you should choose, for the purpose of loading/unloading tackle, but then they should be returned to the main parking area.
Income...
The lake currently provides substantial fishing revenues throughout the year.
